Guiding Good Choices is an interactive parenting workshop for parents of children ages 9 - 14. The free two-hour sessions are held once a week for five weeks; children are included in session 3. Dinner is provided. Parents learn a number of skills, including:
  • how to communicate effectively with their children,
  • create healthy beliefs and set clear standards,
  • hold family meetings,
  • manage anger and conflicts,
  • help their children develop refusal skills and avoid dangerous or uncomfortable situations while still keeping their friends, and
  • establish parent networks.

Our next Guiding Good Choices workshop will be at Bradford United Methodist Church on Walnut St. and will be held Sept. 28 through Oct. 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. Free dinner and child care will be provided each week, as well as program materials. Please reserve your spot now by calling 501-388-3170 or email wisecoalition@gmail.com.
